At Kemper Pelvic Physio we do more than provide and sustain an inclusive environment. We have specialized training specifically designed to cater to your pelvic health needs and we partner with other safe and affirming healthcare providers to create a holistic approach to your care.
We treat patients of all genders and sexual orientations for painful sexual activity, pelvic pain, pre-hab and rehab for gender affirming surgery, perinatal care, urinary and bowel concerns and so much more.
Patients who identify as transgender or gender-expansive may have other concerns that are well-addressed by physical therapy such as: pain from binding or tucking and the genitourinary side effects (like dryness, painful insertion or urinary urgency) from hormone therapy. Our team also has training and expertise in pre-hab and recovery of gender affirming top and bottom surgery.
Additionally, we support queer conception and provide tailored pregnancy and postpartum care for folks of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures.
LGBTQIA+ clients can take advantage of our expertise in a wide variety of pelvic health concerns. No matter your needs, we have you covered in an affirming environment with clinicians who are here to help YOU as a whole person, not just by societal standards.
We recognize that there are systemic and cultural factors that often create barriers for the LGBTQIA+ community and we have many tools to help manage these challenges within a realistic context. Additionally, each PT has a unique trauma-informed approach and we use a comprehensive intake form to ensure your treatment is in your hands. We will ask questions about your affirmed gender, pronouns and how you would like us to refer to the body parts we will be talking about, in order to make your experience comfortable and affirming.
