Enjoy your pregnancy, delivery and new parenthood!
Pregnancy can be amazing but it can also be difficult to navigate. At KPP, we are prepared to help guide you on every step of your journey, especially if it includes pain or leakage.
Starting with your first visit, you will receive a full-body assessment to identify areas of weakness, muscle tension, or incoordination that may contribute to any current or future symptoms. Using that information, we’ll then customize an individualized program to help you have a safe and healthy delivery, reach your goals, and not just adjust but thrive in the postpartum phase.
In addition to making sure you can move and function well, we will also provide education on:
- Labor and delivery positions & education on the birthing process
- Pain management and comfort measures
- Perineal massage
- Pushing and your pelvic floor
- C-section – prep, recovery and planning
Our bodies are different after delivering – whether your birth consists of a vaginal or C-section approach. The 4th Trimester is REAL and deserves the appropriate attention and care. We like to say that once you’re postpartum, you’re always postpartum…. You are never “too far” after delivery to address those issues!

Staying Active Throughout Your Pregnancy
Do you lift weights? Run, do Pilates, or yoga? Play flag football? Whatever your pastime, we are here to help your safe participation. Our team believes that movement is integral to your mental and physical wellbeing and that shouldn’t change with your pregnancy. We understand that barriers such as round ligament pain and leakage can hinder participation. We are here to help you feel your best so you can keep doing the things you love, safely!
Getting Back To The Things You Love, Postpartum
Whether you want to return to running marathons or get back into your weekly fitness routine, navigating the return to activity postpartum is one of our specialties . Dr. Megan, our perinatal specialist, is a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. Through her advanced training and years of experience, she is the perfect person to get you back on track with your activity goals.
IVF And Specialized Perinatal Care
What is IVF? – IVF, or in vitro fertilization, is a process where an egg and sperm are combined outside the body in a lab. If fertilization is successful, the resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus to try to achieve pregnancy.
How can Pelvic Physical Therapy help someone going through IVF? – Pelvic PT can support folks going through IVF by improving pelvic blood flow, reducing muscle tension, and addressing pain or dysfunction that may affect fertility. It can also help manage stress, support hormone balance, and prepare the body for embryo transfer and pregnancy.
Gender Affirming Pregnancy Services
We truly mean what we say; we are here to serve everyone who has a pelvis. We have experience treating birthing folks of all genders, sexual orientations, and couple styles. Our PTs are equipped with specific training and always treat from a trauma-informed lens in order to provide stellar care to every pregnant individual and their partners.
C-Sections
Whether you’re planning to have a C-section or your birthing journey results in one, a C-section is a MAJOR abdominal surgery and should be treated as such. Being prepared, knowing how to advocate for yourself, and navigating the unexpected are all things that we can help with.
Building Your Village
Building your village is an essential task during pregnancy to set up a successful delivery and postpartum experience – one that is as stress free as possible. Not only should you decide who you want in the delivery room and who can visit after the birth, but you should also choose a team of providers who prioritize you and your best interests. At KPP we strive to be an integral part of your village by ensuring that your physical health remains our priority as you navigate new parenthood.
As a pillar in the Atlanta community, we are able to assist you with finding providers (OGBYN, Fertility Specialist, Mental Health, Support Groups, Doula, Lactation Specialist, Partner Support Personnel, etc.) that will be the perfect fit for you. We have many trusted community partners who would be happy to be a part of your perinatal care team.
