Stronger Together
For the last year and a half, we have hosted social hours for Gender Affirming Healthcare Providers in the Atlanta community. Our goal when starting these events was to gather, support, collaborate and create a trusted referral network.
Especially after the last few weeks of painful executive orders and rhetoric, it was vital for us to come together and regroup as a community. We had 36 providers join us last week to focus on something we all find imperative – continuing to provide care for our trans and gender expansive clients amongst the noise.
To quote our own Dr. Laura Ross, “We will be visible and keep showing up in the community at large… We aren’t going anywhere. We will continue to resist unethical, cruel edicts and threats and protect our ability to deliver life-saving and life-enriching care.”
